How To Make Affiliate Links

How to Make Affiliate Links – Transcript

In this demo, I’ll show you how to make affiliate links in LeadDyno.

Let’s start with the page where affiliates can sign up to join our program. If you’ve got your own LeadDyno account, you also have your own affiliate signup page. You can customize it as I have done here, where you can put in your company colors, your logo, and then this is where we’re directing folks to get them signed up. Of course, you’re welcome to direct them. We can also help you out if you would like via our affiliate network. We’ll talk about that more in a little bit.

Staying on the affiliate thread. So as folks log in – that’s how to make affiliate links.

They will be passed through to what we call their “affiliate dashboard,” so this is unique to each affiliate and contains everything that he or she would need to promote your site and your product. So first and foremost, what we give them is a unique affiliate code and a classic affiliate link, so the link is gonna be the main way that they’re sending folks to your site. They can copy and paste this link and put it on their own website if they have one, on their own blog, any email communications that they have, and then, of course, on their social media pages as well. They will get credit for anyone who clicks through that link and ends up back on your website.

Their credit is going to be reflected in real time, so they can see that as well underneath their progress here. So the affiliate I’m showing you is Sam. Sam’s a blogger in our industry. So the nice thing about our affiliate dashboard here is that Sam’s able to see in real time that he has currently gotten credit for sending us 1,682 unique visitors. These are, again, the number of folks who have clicked through his link. Out of those, 22 of them have opted in on our website, which means we also have an email address for them. Eleven of these folks have purchased, and then, thanks to these purchases, Sam has earned some commissions down here. So he’s currently due another $108.30, which will be paid out to him at the end of the month, and you can see he’s done real well to date, making $1,464 by being a part of our affiliate program.

The commissions are generally going to be paid as a percentage or a set dollar amount per purchase. You can set the amount. If you need help setting the amount, let us know. We can show you what others in your industry are doing, what others are having success with. We’ve also got ways that you can set up various nuances with your commission plans. If you wanna set up a recurring plan, you can do that. Multi-level plans are also possible. Per-product commission plans are possible for shop, all-time, big commerce folks. So let us know if you’ve got specific thoughts or things that you’re lookin’ to do there, and we can help out.

Finally, let’s go through our social media shortcuts here. So these are front and center for our affiliates, makes it really easy for them to share their link. For example, if Sam’s pressed for time, but he wants to share on Facebook, all he needs to do is click that Facebook button here. This is gonna log him in. It will tee up a post, which, with an additional click, will come through the Facebook feed of his friends and followers as if Sam posted it because he did. And then as folks click through or tap through, Sam will get credit for these clicks. Same idea on Twitter. He’s got 140 characters to work with, so he can tweet this out. And then, as his Twitter followers see this come through their tweet streams, as these folks click through or tap through, Sam will get credit for these referrals here.

A couple more things I wanna show you. Our Marketing Materials tab is where he can grab things like infographics and banner ads and such. We’ve got the Creative embedded here. We’ve got his affiliate link embedded. So again, he’ll get credit for anyone who clicks through these banners, so he can post these to his website as well if he would like. And then, finally, I have an archive of affiliate newsletters here. These are gonna land directly in our affiliate’s email inbox.

Showing you an example of what one looks like, so this is an email that went out to our affiliates kinda advertising, letting them know that we now have everything that you just saw available in a convenient mobile app as well, which is a nice segue. So that, you know, everything that I just showed you is available for your affiliates via our affiliate dashboard app. So pretty simple to get this rolling, and it’s available for both Google Play and iTunes. They just download our app, put in their email address. We’ll match ’em up. We know they’re a member of your program, and they will be good to go from there. You can get everything that I just showed you on the affiliate dashboard from the convenience of their phone here as well.

All right, let’s flip over to the second half. I’m gonna take you through the setup of stuff I just showed ya, and then we will get into affiliate recruitment and get into your questions if you have any. So if you do have questions, go ahead and type those into that “GoToWebinar” window. We’ll get to those in about four or five minutes here. I’m gonna show you how to do all of that setup that we just talked about. So I’m gonna walk you through our Content section, which is about five down, so halfway down on the left side with LeadDyno itself. Everything’s basically customizable, so you can choose to go with our mobile-friendly version from here, you can select your color scheme, you can get your logo in here. You can even put the affiliate website on your own domain if you would like to do that.

Within the affiliate dashboard, everything from the header, to the introduction, to the instructions, all customizable here as well. To just change the text, you can just type in different texts, or you can also insert images, you can insert links, you can get to the HTML directly. We do support custom CSS, so if you wanna further style the page, you can do that. And if you want to do things such as require terms of service, you can define a terms of service agreement, and your affiliates will be prompted to opt in to this as they sign up on your website.

Also in our Content section, the Facebook post that I showed you, so the contents of that can be controlled by editing the contents. So this is going to be the title, other Facebook posts, this is the body, this is the URL that folks are clicking through to as they click your post. Same idea on Twitter. So we’ve got 140 characters to work with here, and then you can preload this content for them. So again, this is nice that our affiliates can just kinda click to share, and they don’t have to sit there and think about stuff if they’re pressed for time. In my experience, I find most affiliates do like to just kinda share and go, so it’s nice to have this content setup here and preloaded for them to run with.

Moving on to a few of our key tools. So we’ve got the ability to write an affiliate newsletter, so I showed you how this looked from the affiliate standpoint. You can compose this from within LeadDyno and send it out. A couple of tips that I would share with you in terms of writing effective newsletters. One would be just the timing of sending out these newsletters. I like to time these with our affiliate payments, as I find it’s always a nice way to get everyone’s attention and let ’em know that money’s going out the door and that they can click through their affiliate dashboard to see their progress, which is also where they have all of their social sharing buttons conveniently located.

We can also fire off emails to affiliates in an automated basis, so I’ve got these automated emails. You’ve got these at your disposal as well, so these you’ll send out automatically from the system. So it’s nice that these will keep your affiliates engaged without you having specifically to do anything. So for example, when a new affiliate signs up, we can send them a welcome email that looks like this, which contains their affiliate link as well as the link to their affiliate dashboard, so everything that they need to get up and running.

Also, on the automated side, we can let them know how they did for the week, so the number of visitors, leads, and purchases that they got credit for. And then you can also let ’em know every time they got credit for a new opt-in or a new purchase. So again, these emails, customizable. In my case, I’m lettin’ ’em know who it was that they referred. You can do the same if you’d like, so you can tweet the email, you can pop in your own variables. And again, you just kinda set this up once, and then the system will send out these automated emails as a way to keep your affiliates engaged as they’re selling for you.

All right, and then our last topic, but probably our most popular one, is affiliate recruitment. So I have two techniques I’m gonna share with you today. First is gonna be our affiliate invitation email. This will go out to folks as they buy from you and invite them to join your affiliate program. So this is a real nice way to grow your base of affiliates organically, a nice way to get a 2 for 1, where you’ve got a new customer and what we’re gonna do here is see if we can get you a new affiliate at the same time.

In my experience, I’ve been real happy with the uptake in the number of folks, number of our customers who have enthusiastically signed up for our affiliate program. I know this technique has worked real well for many of our customers as well, so I would encourage you to check it out. Not much you need to do beyond enabling the email, writing it as you would like, and then you’ll be able to get this going out to folks as they buy from you.

And then another way that we can recruit and get some more affiliates is gonna be our affiliate network. So in here, we’re gonna let you reach out to prospective affiliates who look like good fits for your programs to do this. You can either recruit affiliates on your end, or you can set up your own affiliate profile as well. I’d recommend you do both where we’re gonna get you a listing in our affiliate directory here, so within your category, we’ll talk about your product, and we will talk about your affiliate program here as well. Affiliates are gonna be able to apply with a single click. And this will route them through to your program and they can start promoting right away, if you’ve got Auto Approval on, so a nice to get access to affiliates and influencers who you might not currently know.

To join our network, pretty easy. Just hit the Network tab in the lower left corner of LeadDyno, and this will bounce you over to our network where you can set up your profile featuring your product, featuring your affiliate program. And then, if you’re new, please do let me know. Reach out to me and let me know. If we can get you featured in the newsletter that’s gonna go out to our affiliates and newsletters, we would love to do that, showcase your program as well and help get you more exposure right away.

All right, and then, finally, we will talk affiliate payouts. And then I see I’ve got a couple of questions in here, so let’s go into those in a moment. When it’s time to pay folks, we’ll just hit our pay button. I’ve got everyone I owe commissions to teed up here, so I can pay through the end of the month. And when it’s time to send out the money, I can hit the Paypal button to tee up a Paypal payment from me out to each affiliate for the amount that I owe them. If I’m cuttin’ a check, I can mark somebody off as being manually paid. Other options, coin-based, will let us send bitcoin as a form of payment. Paypal Mass Pay is an option if you wanna pay a bunch of people or everyone all at one time.

Okay, so with that, let’s get into your questions. So you can also get a hold of us. Let me show you our support info. We do have support seven days a week via phone, email, and live chat. Questions we’ve got. Someone with an affiliate who is looking to bring in more affiliates, so the question here would be… I believe we’re lookin’ to setup a multi-level commission structure, so you could set up a multi-level commission structure where your affiliate could get awarded for the affiliates that they are bringing in.

Let me show you how…let me send you a document based on this, and we can actually review it in a moment here as well. So if we’re lookin’ to set up a multi-level structure…I will send an answer to this question out…moving into LeadDyno, when we’re setting up our commission payments. I’ve got my commission payments here. What I can do is let me show you how this looks in our current plan. This is our basic commission payment, so if we’re payin’ a fixed amount or a percentage.

Below, under the Advanced Types here, so we click Advanced Options. This is where you’ll get your multi-level support. So you can actually set up all the way up to 10 levels on the multi-level side if you’re interested in doing that. Basically, assign a different dollar amount or a different commission for each level that you got here, and we’re also happy to help you set this up if you would like. Then how is your affiliate going to invite these folks, gonna invite the other affiliates? We’ve got an Invite tab available from the affiliate dashboard, where they’re welcome to put in the email address of the folks that they would like to invite here.

Question on our affiliate network so yes, this is the Network tab in the lower left corner here, so that’s what I showed you in terms of e-commerceaffiliates.com. So this is our affiliate network, which is gonna be able to feature your product and your affiliate program here as well.

Question on Ecwid whether LeadDyno does support Ecwid, and yes, we do. This is a new integration where you can connect to your Ecwid cart. Just showing you the current integrations that we have, so we do support Shopify, BigCommerce, Magento, of course, being the big ones. Recharge is a new one for recurring subscriptions here as well. So if you’ve got a question on a specific integration, let us know here also.

Okay, and looks like that’s it for questions, so let me show how to get a hold of additional support. So typically, the system can be set up within…I would say, within a few hours, you can get everything locked and loaded. If you do need help, just let us know at any time. Here’s our contact info, so again, phone, email, live chat available seven days a week. Live chat’s probably the most convenient way to get something started. That’s available in the lower right on the website here, lower right within LeadDyno. And then if you have anything for me, brett@leaddyno.com. We’ll go back, so maybe we can start back one-on-one on anything that you have.

Otherwise, thank you for joining. Hope it was helpful today. Stay in touch. Hope everyone has a great Monday and a great rest of your week.

Sorry, one more question coming in, “How do we turn on Auto Approval for affiliates?” That is going to be enabled by default, so your affiliates are going to be automatically approved under…I believe that is under Affiliate Settings. No, I’m sorry. It’s under Content. Configure Affiliate Website, Affiliates Require Approval is going to be right here. So if you look down at the bottom for Affiliates to Require Approval, by default, it’s going to be off.

If you want to not approve affiliates automatically, you can toggle this to On. But if you’re looking for Auto Approval, just leave this off and you will be good to go. Affiliates will be auto-approved. That’s what I recommend. In my experience, the more the merrier. LeadDyno helps with the automation of the management of this stuff, so I just auto-approve everyone. But up to you, this is where the setting is located within the system.

Okay, let me take another look, see if we have any questions. We do not. So thank you, again, everyone for your questions, and do stay in touch. Let me know if there’s anything else that you think of afterwards. Have a great rest of your Monday, great rest of your week. Keep me posted on your affiliate program launch, love to help how we can, and hope to hear from you soon.

Affiliate Recruitment Tools, Tips & Tricks

Affiliate Recruitment Tools – Transcript

In this demo, we’ll be highlighting key affiliate recruitment tools available in LeadDyno.

This is the Affiliate program for one of our sister companies. I’ve got this dashboard. It’s available to all of our affiliates. It’s unique to each affiliate, contains everything that he or she will need to promote our site and our product. So first and foremost, what each affiliate gets is a unique referral link. This is that classic affiliate link, which they can copy and paste and put on their blog if they have one, on a website, into an email newsletter or into any social media channel. So who I’m showing you the dashboard here is one of our partners, Sam. Sam is a blogger in our industry. So when he mentions our product, he does use his affiliate link. The nice thing about this link is couple of things. One, it’s a direct link to our site, which means his readers, his followers are not redirected anywhere. It goes directly to our website. From an SEO perspective, that’s helpful because it just counts the straight inbound link for us, so that benefits us every time an affiliate posts a link of ours.

Another nice thing about our link is you can either put an affiliate code on there, as I’ve got to kind of co-brand the link. Or we’ve got a link shortener service now available where you can create kind of bit.ly style short link for all of your affiliates. It makes it really easy for them to share. So some nice options there on the link sharing. We’ve also got some nice social media sharing options. So as I mentioned, that link can be copied and pasted into anywhere in social media where a link is permitted. We also have some shortcuts and these make life even easier for affiliates of ours, affiliates of yours, busy people I know. So what we do for them is we give them some shortcuts. So for example, Sam can share on Facebook something by clicking the Facebook button. When it does, it logs him in. It tees up this post. It’s a preloaded post, which I’ve written. So it gets our affiliates off to a nice head start and I have to sit there and think about what they want to share. If they’re crunch for time, which honestly, most of them are, most of them just share the preloaded Facebook post.

So big advantage here for doing this. He’s gonna hit that Facebook button, logs him in, tees up this post. He’ll get credit for any of his friends or followers who click through this post. So this will pop into their respective Facebook feeds, and as I click through, tap through, credit goes to Sam or whoever the affiliate was who shared this. Same idea, sharing on Twitter, gonna log us into Twitter, tees up this tweet. We’ve got a preloaded tweet. We’ve got an affiliate link already in there. So as affiliate share this on Twitter, their followers will be able to, they’ll see this come through their Facebook feeds, I’m sorry, their Twitter streams, in this case. And then, as he’s supposed to click tap through, the credit is going to go to the affiliate who shared it.

All right, so as folks are clicking through, progress updates in real time. In Sam’s case here, he has got a credit for sending us 1,681 unique visitors to date. Out of those 22, these folks have opted in, 11 of these people have purchased. Thanks to his referrals and then thanks to these purchases, he has earned some commissions. So we’ve got another $99.60, which will be paid out to him at the end of this month. He’s got some money available for upcoming months as well. And then you can see then where the date being paid out, over $1,400.00 since he joined our affiliate program.

A word on commission setup here. It’s up to you in terms of what you want to pay on your commission structure. We’re happy to help you out. I would say the most common ways to pay, and let me actually give you a little sneak preview into our affiliate network. You can see on the right side here where we’ve got some of our most popular commissions listed. Our most common ways are going to be a percentage of the sale but some people do offer set dollar amount. It’s typically on a purchase but it is possible for you if you want to pay per email address that you get or even per click or some combination of those that you could set that up as well. So let me know if you have questions on your commission setup. We can give you a hand with that or kind of point you in terms of the right direction but leave now to this for the variety of the nuances available there, including even multi-level recurring commissions, all that kind of stuff also.

Couple more things I want to show you on the dashboard here. Our Marketing Materials tab is where Sam can get creative for his website. So, things like this infographics here. He can copy and paste html here. He’ll get the infographic. He’ll also get his link embedded within here, same with these banner ads. So he can grab the html associated with these banner ads. Post it to his blog and [inaudible 00:04:45] for anyone who has clicked through these banners.

And then finally, I have an archive of affiliate newsletters up here on the dashboard. When I send these out, these do go to our affiliates and land directly in their email inboxes. Nice way to engage affiliates. I like to send our newsletters…I’ll give you a couple of tricks in terms of writing effective email newsletters. I like to send our newsletters out. I’ll often align it with our affiliate payments and it’s always a nice way to get everyone’s attention. Say, “Hey, I’ve got some money going out the door. So login to your dashboard to see what you’re getting paid. If you’re not getting paid, use the social sharing buttons also, I set up for next month. You are getting paid. Use the social sharing buttons anyway. Get paid more next month.”

And then, in this case here, I’m also using the newsletter to kind of give them the inside scoop on our new, actually, our new mobile app. So letting them know they can now get the affiliate dashboard that I just walked you through on the web. And they can also get access to all of this on their phones as well. So that’s a good little segue here where everything I want to mention…anything I’ve just showed you is available on Android as well as iPhone. We can actually get the iOS. I think this is…yes, affiliate dashboard for iPhone as well. So Android and iPhone, you can get your dashboard on their phones. What they do is they just download our app, type in their email address and then they’ll be logged in to their affiliate dashboard via your program.

All right, so let’s embark on the second half here. I’m gonna take you into LeadDyno itself and show you where this is set up. And then, we’ll get into our affiliate network and affiliate recruitment, and then we’ll get in to questions here. So the affiliate website that I walked you through the dashboard, that can all be customized. I am doing this via our content section over on the left-hand side. This is where you can walk through. And if you want to go the mobile-friendly version, you can make these types of selections, the color scheme. Pick your logo in there where you can really kind of co-brand that dashboard to your own website’s look and feel. Even if you want to put it on your own custom domain on your website, it is possible to do that. Everything within the header is customizable as well. The introduction, the instructions, you can just rewrite those by typing in new text here or you can fancy it up, if you like, by inserting images. You can insert links out to other sites out to your site. You can embed html. We do even support custom CSS. If you want to further style it, you can do that. And then, we’ve got some amenities, such as if you want to have your affiliate opt in to a terms of service agreement, that’s possible. You can enable terms of service. You can upload yours here. And then your affiliates, in this case, would agree to your terms of service before they’re granted access to your affiliate program.

Also, in the content library, the Facebook post that I showed you earlier. So this is the preloaded post that’s going out to Facebook on the share right here. This is where we’re sharing that from…or this is where we’re composing that. So this is the title going out to Facebook body and the URL where folks are ending up. Same idea with the tweet. So we’ve got 140 characters to work with. You can include Twitter handles. You can include hash tags and then this link will click to an affiliate version of that link based on the affiliate who shares it when that goes out.

Get in to a few of our tools here, the affiliate newsletter. I showed you what this looked like from the affiliate standpoint. So here is where you can send it out from within LeadDyno itself. Kind of showing you another way you can engage your affiliates, is if you ever want to kinda rally them for reviews. That’s what I did with this newsletter here. So that’s kind of a nice way also to leverage your affiliate base. I know reviews are important these days. It’s kind of hard, as you know, to get customers to write them. Affiliates will often engage and help you out there. So that’s another way you can use the affiliate newsletter feature. You can send these out from LeadDyno.

You can also send some automated emails out, and these are going to fire off as the hint would say. So they’re automated. They fire automatically based on certain events. So for example, when a new affiliate signs up, we can send them a welcome email, which is gonna give them their affiliate link as well as the link to their affiliate dashboards. Everything they need to get up and running. In my case, I’m reminding about the mobile app because I want to be on their phones as well. You can also keep them updated on progress. We’ve got a weekly status email built, if you want to let affiliates know how they did for the week. All these emails are customized, as well as you can write, tweak them as you would like, and then you’re just going to mail them from within LeadDyno and they’ll be off and running. You can even let affiliates know every time they get credit, for example, for a new purchase. In this case, I’m sending them a thank you email, to let them know what was, who bought. So again, all customizable here and you can plug in some different variables as you would like.

All right, before I get into our affiliate network, let me get to our questions here. Question, can we preload images into our social posts that we prep for our affiliates? It’s a very good question. I do get this one quite often. So for example, the Facebook post. When you share a link on Facebook, they don’t give you an option to preload an image. It’s the same here. Facebook is going to pull the image from this page. So if I want to show you kind of how I get around this or how I show Facebook what I share, I’ve got a page here that has one image and it’s a big, fat image. This is the image that I get shared when I post to Facebook, okay. So this is what I recommend doing on your social sharing. Put one image on that page, and we’re gonna pick that image and that will be the one that Facebook is going to choose to share here. So, good question.

Let’s talk affiliate recruitment tools and then we’ll get into…I’ve got some more questions here. So we’ll get in to more questions in a moment. Our affiliate invitation email is a nice way to grow your program organically. Turn those new customers into new affiliates of yours as well. This is gonna reach out on the folks as they buy for you. Not much needed to do. You just enable the email and if you want to make any tweaks to the email, go ahead and you can do that right here. Otherwise, just enable it and this will send it out and reach out the folks as they buy from you. Invite them to join your program and then we’re going to send them to your affiliate landing page, which is going to be look something like this where they can opt in to join your program. So that’s been a real nice way for us and many of our users in terms of affiliate recruitment.

We also have an affiliate network. So this is exciting because we can give you exposure to affiliates and influencers in your product category or maybe outside of your current sphere of influence. So what we’re gonna do is get you featured in our directory, first of all. And you can set up your profile just from within LeadDyno. Click the Network tab in the lower left. That will walk you through a profile creation. What we’re gonna talk about your product, and then we’re gonna just talk about your affiliate program over here on the right. So a nice way again to get exposure to affiliates looking for products like yours. What we would like to do is well, what I would really like to do is get it featured also. So as you join and get set up, please reach out to me and let me know so that I can get you featured. As you can see here, we’re doing a lot of work on…not only on our Facebook page but also…let me see if I’ve got one that went out. This is a newsletter that went out. So this goes out via email to our affiliates interested in Health & Fitness, in this case. So they’ve got the ability here where they can click to join the affiliate program and a nice little write up here. So, again, as you set up your profile, let me know. So, if you’re interested in being featured, so I can get you into one of our newsletters here and help get you some initial traction on your affiliate program.

All right, and then finally, affiliate payouts. Last thing we’ll cover, pretty straightforward. We’ll just head on in here. I’m gonna…so let’s say I’m paying through the end of July. I’ll click the PayPal button, if you have a PayPal payment from me, out to Lori here, for the $11.30 that I owe her. I’ve got mass pay available if I wanna pay a bunch of people at once. Dwolla or Coinbase would be other ways to pay also. Work on to cut Lori a check. I would just hit the manual button. I will mark her up, just be manually paid.

All right, let’s get into the questions here. First…really, second question, someone I assume gets their affiliate link. So if someone gets their affiliate link to refer my product, does the referral just get tracked by cookies? That is correct. So we do use cookies. So if they clear the cookies, they would clear that tracking code. So they would not then get that commission. By default, the cookies are gonna last in perpetuity as you asked, but they do not have to. We have settings where if you want to change the link, the time that that ask for, that is, that setting is here. So I’m under Settings over on the left side, Affiliate Settings. See this last one here, number of months the affiliate referral last for, by default is forever, but you can edit this and make it last for a certain number of months, if you would like to do that. So that’s a common one as well.

All right. Question, how do we shorten the affiliate link? So the short URL is actually right here as well, under Affiliate Settings. Shorten URLs is how you would enable our link shortener by default right here. Question on setting up an MLM structure. So he wants to see a demo. So let me show you how to get this going. I just wanna have the doc ready for you, but I will to our…this setup. So to setup a Multi-level, what I’m gonna do is go on to our Commission Payment. I am going to select Advanced Options…oh no, I’m sorry. I don’t actually need to be. Oh yeah, no I do. Under Advanced Options, I already had that expanded. For tier support, this is Multi-level. So we’ve got our regular commission setup and then we’re gonna apply a different payments to each tier down here. So this is how we’re gonna do the Multi-level setup.

If you would like…so I have a trouble again. I got typed that in wrong. I’ll send you a document here if you have questions or if you want to. I’ve got a bunch of questions here, so I’m gonna kind of go on quick. But if you do need help setting up your Multi-level structure, let us know. I’m happy to help you with that. But also, I’ll send you this, which is kinda step-by-step, well, walkthrough.

All right, can we create two or three new social media posts weekly for all channels, and will affiliates be able to see them easily, so new groups, for a specific time period? So yeah, that’s fine. What you’re gonna do is, but you probably just gonna change amount. I mean, I would probably…I would either just change the primary ones, which are the main ones that post on the page, that page when I was logged in. Or you could add additional ones if you wanna toss up additional Facebook posts, additional tweets, that’s fine. And then you can make invisible, not visible. So you can really toggle those as many as you would like. And then, a follow up question in categories for digital products. And yeah, so if you have a digital product services for social media, I would probably recommend our Computers & Tech category for signing up but if you want to have me take a look at it, I can do that as well.

Health & Detox products would be a good fit for our Health category. Is it a way to set standards for your affiliate network? So, yeah, generally, in our case we screen all the merchants. So we do take a look at everything that comes through the network. So it is subject to our approval in terms of a health product being listed on the network.

Successful website. We never tried affiliate marketing, like everything on videos. Once we’ve signed up for the program, will people be able to sign up with us? So yeah, when you would sign up for LeadDyno, you get your own affiliate sign up page. This is a page that you can direct people to, if you want to encourage affiliates to join your new affiliate program. And then, as I mentioned, if you’re interested in joining our network, we can get you listed in there as well. So those would be the starting steps that I would recommend.

Can we come at mass pay to your system and I’ll get paid directly from your account? That’s right. So all you really need to do is just enable mass pay and what will happen here, I’ll show you a payout. Let me…I’ll pay Charity here early. So I’m just paying it once. Mass pay is the same thing. I’m gonna log into my account so you can remember this, if you would like, and then it’s a one click payout. So I’ll pay her out this way and then we are good to go. So mass pay is gonna be the exact same process as that. Okay, let me close that up

BigCommerce pricing question. We do have a $29 a month starter plan in addition to our other traffic levels. So that, for Shopify and BigCommerce folks, you can get access to a $29.00 startup plan that’s a…so it’s a plan that accommodates up to 1,000 unique visitors, just add up from those stores. And then, to dovetail well into the question on pricing, so it is a monthly flat fee and we do not take a percentage of sales. So we don’t punish you for sales here.

And that question, yeah, a multi-level setup. Yeah, no problem on that. You can pay our live chat operators to setup the call or I’ll show you our contact page here as well. And then, follow up question, Somebody joining our network. Yes, the network is free for LeadDyno users. So if you’re a LeadDyno user, it is free for you to join, nothing beyond the flat monthly prices that I showed you earlier. And then, I think, in the final question that we’ve got here is going to be setting up an MLM structure. I wanted to call on that. So that is a good close. I’ll show you where I get a hold of us.

One more question on Shopify stuff. So let me actually show you how to get a Shopify pricing. So for Shopify folks, if you want to get our app, you’re just gonna go here and you’re just gonna add our app and then you’ll be good to go. Same idea for BigCommerce. Anyone adding us from an app store, from LeadDyno itself you’ll find the free trial stuff on our home page. Our contact info is here as well. So we do phone, email, live chat. This is available seven days a week now. So we added Saturday support. It includes holidays as well. So we’re around. We know you’re around and a lot, we’re around as well to support you. Live chat, lower right, will get you probably quickest help of phone, email info here as well. Brett@leaddyno.com goes back to me.

So I thank you everyone for joining today on this start of the work week. So I hope everyone has a great week. And let me know if we could help. Let us know if you join our affiliate network so I can get you featured there as well. Thanks again. And hope to hear from everyone soon. So please keep us posted. I’d love to hear how your affiliate program is going and to help whatever we can to make that a successful program for you.

Affiliate Link & Marketing Demo

Okay, so this is the affiliate dashboard for one of our partners. When you sign up with LeadDyno, you’re gonna get your own affiliate website, and each one of your affiliates is gonna get their own dashboard here. So this is an example of what they will see, in our case, this is one of our partners, Sam. Sam’s a blogger in our industry. He’s got, of course, a following via his website, his newsletter, social media channel, so on so forth. So Sam gets credit for anyone who clicks through his referral link, which he can get, first and foremost, front and center, right here. So this is that classic affiliate link which he can copy and paste anywhere.

A couple things to note there. One is that you can customize the link, you can also shorten it if you like. We’ve got our own link shortener service, which you are welcome to use there as well. So he can share his link by copying and pasting it. He can put it on his website and on his blog, into his social media channels, or he can also make use of our social media shortcut. So for example, he can do a quick Facebook post. All he does, he hits this “Facebook” button, it logs him in, it tees up this post to Facebook. His friends and followers are gonna see this come through their respective Facebook feeds, and as they click through or tap through, Sam’s gonna get credit for these referrals. Same idea with Twitter, he can post to Twitter just by clicking this “Tweet” button. It’s gonna log him in to Twitter, tees up this tweet and then his friends, followers are gonna see this come through their respective tweet streams. And similarly, as these folks click through the tweet, credit’s going to go to Sam.

So we’ve got all the plugins for him to share on social media. He can do it from his computer. He can also do it via his smartphone using our mobile app here, our affiliate dashboard app, which puts your affiliate dashboard onto each one of your affiliate’s phones here as well.

Our progress can be updated in real-time as well. It will be updated so as folks click through Sam’s affiliate link, they will get credit for the number of… He’ll be able to see the visitors’ opt-ins and purchases that he get credit for. He can also see how he’s looking on his commissions as well, right here.

Couple other aspects to share with you, I’ve got some banner ads, infographics, and such, which he is also able to take advantage of. He can copy and paste these and put’em on his website. We’ve got the HTML embedded in here. We also have his affiliate link embedded in here, so he can easily share this stuff and get credit for everyone who clicks through this infographic, who clicks through this banner ad and ends up on his website there as a result.

Finally, I have an archive of recent affiliate newsletters here as well. These are gonna land directly in our affiliate’s email boxes and we keep an archive there online, so I’m gonna show you how to compose these in a minute when we get in to the LeadDyno side of things. The nice thing, from your perspective, is that they will receive these directly in their email inbox, so it’s a nice way to engage your affiliates here as well.

With that, I’m going to flip over here, and we’re going to look at our… Let me actually just reiterate then, everything you just saw, available from the smartphones as well, so any device, all that sharing, you can get there. And then let me kinda keep clicking through here.

So now we’re going to mount into LeadDyno side of things and I’m gonna show you, actually one of my own accounts, so again, this is one of our LeadDyno accounts for one of our sister companies, so I’m taking you through kind of a back-end of how I’ve got that affiliate program set up. So the affiliate content section is where you’ll do most of that set-up. That is over on the left-hand side. This is where you’d be able to set up the affiliate website where you can control the settings, the header of the website, the introduction, instructions. This can all be customized. You can update the text simply by typing it down here. You can also insert images if you would like. You can insert links, you can update the HTML directly. We do support custom CSS, if you wanna further style that, you can do it. You can also do things such as getting terms of service in there, so if you would like to have your affiliates opt-in to your terms of service agreement, you can enable this, and then, do this opt-in process right here.

Also in the content section, so the Facebook post that I showed you, so that pulls from here. So when an affiliate of yours is going to share the Facebook post, we’ve got one that’s pre-loaded, so they can just click and share, and they’re gonna be off and running. That pre-loaded post is also contained in our content section right here, where this is going to be the title of the post, this is the body of the post that’s going to be shared when affiliates are sharing this on Facebook. Same idea with Twitter. So when they tweet out their social pre-loaded tweet here, this is what we’ve got going for them right here in terms of the tweet that’s available. This link will then flip to an affiliate link also when it gets tweeted out as you can see right here.

Okay, let me move on, show you a few of our key tools. We’ll talk affiliate recruitment, and we can tackle any questions that you have. So in our toolbox here, the ability to compose an affiliate newsletter is gonna be right here, so again, a nice way to engage your affiliates. Some tips and tricks for writing affiliate newsletters. I like to send these out. I think a monthly basis is a nice habit to get into. I like to time our affiliate newsletters with our affiliate payments if I can. I find that’s always a nice way to get everyone’s attention. Also, if you got things that are new, novel, some new products, new features, so on so forth, I like to give our affiliates the entire scoop first if I can and I do that using our newsletter feature, and kinda so they can get out to social media, they can start sharing and they’ve got something unique that they are taking out there.

We also have some automated affiliate emails. So these are gonna fire off based on certain events. So for example, when a new affiliate signs up, we can send them a welcome email. This contains their affiliate link as well as a link to their affiliate dashboard, so everything that they need to get up and running. I also have the ability to, as do you, I let’em know how they’re doing, so for example, we’ve got a weekly status email that lets them know how they did for the week, so the number of visitors, leads, and purchases that they each got credit for, and we can even let affiliates know every time they get credit for a new lead or a new purchase by letting them know with an individual email as well. So this are all customizable. You can tweak them as you would like. Again, the nice thing is that LeadDyno will send these out on your behalf so you don’t have to sit there and email your affiliates, but you can kinda keep them engaged just on an ongoing basis there.

All right, finally we will close with probably our most popular topic, affiliate recruitment. So let’s talk about how we are going to get affiliates to sign up for your program. We’ve got a couple of angles, so let me start with the organic one, our affiliate invitation email. What this is is you’re gonna reach out. An email that is gonna go out to new customers as they buy from you, reach out to them, describe your affiliate program to them, let them know about it, and we’re gonna invite them to join. So it’s a real nice way to turn those new customers of yours into new affiliates. I found it’s nice…it’s been very effective technique for us in terms of getting folks to sign up for our program, so a nice way to get that organic type of growth and real simple to set up. Literally, all you need to do is just enable the email and then make any tweaks to it that you would like, and then you’re going to…this is going to be fired off to your affiliates as you go.

We also have an affiliate network, so this is a nice way, again, to get in front of those influencers who are promoting products in your industry who you might not otherwise have had access to. So to join our affiliate network, so if we click that “Network” tab down here in the lower left corner, this is going to get you into our e-commerceaffiliate.com affiliate network where you can sign up. Free for you to join as a LeadDyno user, and we’ll give you exposure to the affiliates and influencers, especially those interested in the products in your category.

So what we do is we get you a listing here where we talk about your product, we talk about your affiliate program, the details associated there. We send out newsletters such as these that are going out to the affiliates in your category, and we’re doing Facebook posts out to them, and we’re doing affiliate recruitment on our end all the time as well, so that you can take advantage of it. And as folks see these features, they can apply to join your program with a single click. So a real nice resource here for exposure. If you’re interested in taking advantage of it, again, really easy, just click that “Network” tab in the lower left corner, and that will walk you through the set up process. Also if you do set up your profile, let me know if you’re interested in being featured, because I’d love to get you featured there as a new user as well.

And then finally, when it’s time to pay folks, what I do is I head on in here, I hit the “Pay” button. And let’s say I’m gonna pay Lori, and let’s say I’m gonna get ahead of the curve, pay Lori through the end of July. So I just fast forward to the end of July here. I can pay her via PayPal, if I just hit the “PayPal” button that’ll tee up that payment from me out to her. I can actually pay a bunch of people or everyone all at once using PayPal Mass Pay, if I would like. Other electronic options are gonna include Coinbase, will let you send Bitcoin around, or if you wanna cut a check, so if I wanna cut Lori a check instead, I would just do that and then mark her off as manually paid here.

Okay, so covered a lot of ground. I am happy to get into your questions now, so let me know if you have any. Type those into the GoToWebinar window, I’m happy to stick around as long as you would like, if you do have questions or things that you would like to see demoed. Let me also get our contact info over here. Phone, email, live chat is available now seven days a week, every day of the year. You can get help on live chat in the lower right, that’s a convenient way to do it. Social media info here as well. Live chat is also available within LeadDyno itself. And then finally, if you wanna circle back with me on anything, brett@leaddyno.com will go back to me.

Otherwise, I thank you for joining, so I hope it was helpful. Again, we’ll get you an email out with this recording. Stay in touch, let us know how we can help with your affiliate program. Let us know if we can get you featured especially. Hope everyone has a great rest of your Wednesday evening, and hope to hear from you soon as well.

Influencer Marketing Platform Demo: LeadDyno

LeadDyno’s influencer marketing platform will help you recruit influencers and affiliate marketers to your affiliate program.

To get started, visit: http://www.leaddyno.com

Influencer Marketing Platform Transcript

First, we will look at the affiliate dashboard and the influencer marketing platform from that of your affiliate’s perspective. So I’m gonna show you how your affiliates will get access to their unique referral link, how they’ll be able to share that link easily on social media, track their own progress, get paid, even get your affiliate dashboard on to their own phones via our mobile app as well.

So everything for your affiliate standpoint first, and then what we will do we will flip the script, we’ll put on our affiliate manager hats and that’s where I am gonna take you into LeadDyno, show you one of my own LeadDyno accounts, get you to feel for everything that is available in the system, and then also give you some couple tips, tricks, best practices, help you leverage LeadDyno to the greatest extent that you can there.

In terms of what I’ve got for you…I’m gonna go fast. We’ll cover a lot of ground. I will go for about 12 or so minutes. The rest of the time is yours as you would like it. So I’ll stay as long as you would like me to. We can either cover your questions on the fly, or afterward, or some combination of that. So if you do have thoughts, go ahead and take them into that go to the webinar window, use that question screen. I’ll keep an eye on it as I go. And again I’ll either work in your questions throughout or afterward. Again, I do this life, really for you so you can take advantage of that. So if you want to have me demo anything specific either during or after, let me know.

With that, we’ll go ahead and get rolling. So this is the affiliate dashboard for one of our partners. So I’m gonna back up a half step, this is an affiliate program that I’m running for one of our sister companies. So I’m using LeadDyno to run this program as well. The dashboard you’re looking at here is for Sam. Sam’s a partner of ours, a partner in our industry. This dashboard basically gives him everything that he needs to promote our site, our product, and it is also unique to Sam as well. So each one of our affiliates has an affiliate dashboard that looks like this.

So first and foremost, what Sam has is a unique referral link here. He can copy and paste this link and put it anywhere where he would like. In his case, he’s got a website, so he can post it there, he can post it to his blog, in his email newsletter and then also in his social media channels. I also have some social media shortcuts for him to make life even easier. So with one click, he can simply hit that Facebook button. What this will do is it will log him into Facebook and will tee up this post. And with an additional click, Sam can share this out to his Facebook friends and followers. They will see this come through their respective Facebook feeds. As these folks click through or tap through, Sam will get credit for those referrals.

Same idea on Twitter. So to share on Twitter, we hit the tweet button. This will log them into Twitter. It tees up a tweet. The tweet was written by me. So I have got things that are locked and loaded for our affiliates to be able to take advantage of. This tweet will then go out to Sam’s followers. Same thing with Facebook as they see them come through their tweet streams as they click-through. He’s got his affiliate link in there, he’ll get credit for those referrals.

All right, as folks are clicking through, he’s gonna see his progress reflected here. So he’s gotten credit for sending us almost 1,700 unique visitors to date. Out of those, 22 of them have opted in, 11 of these folks have purchased. Thanks to these purchases, Sam has earned some commissions here as well. So he’s got another $50 due to him at the end of July. He’s got some money due for upcoming months and then here’s what he’s gonna be paid out to date.

A word about our commissions. Typically, we’re going to pay a percentage of the sale and we’re gonna do it on a purchase. That’s the most common ways to pay. LeadDyno itself does support a variety of nuances on the commission plan side. So if you’re looking to set up some sort of recurring commission plan to support a subscription, a product, we do have the ability to do that. We can send up for each product commission for Shopify and big commerce folks.

We can also set up multi-level commission plans for folks looking around on multi-level affiliate program. So let us know what you’re thinking and if you have questions on how either to set up your commission structure or what to offer, what might be compelling to folks in your industry, we can help you out with both of those.

A final note on the affiliate dashboard. This is all available from our mobile app as well. So you can get your affiliate dashboard on to all of your affiliates’ phones using our affiliate dashboard app here. This will give them the ability then to basically access the dashboard, everything you just saw there from the convenience of their own phones there.

Okay, let’s get into LeadDyno itself. Now, let me show you where we do all of this initial setup. I’m gonna go through our content section and a few of our key tools. This is where we set up the affiliate website. I’m in the content tab over on the left, it’s about halfway now. So we can go with a mobile-friendly version, we can set our color scheme, we can get our logo in there, you can even put their entire affiliate dashboard that I just showed you on your own domain if you would like. And then everything throughout the header, from the introduction to the instructions, these are all customizable. So you can just type in new text down here if you would like. You can insert images, you can insert links, you can update the HTML directly.

Custom fields are available. So if you want to collect additional info from your affiliate’s upfront, that would be on our landing page. We are also giving you an opt-in page to collect new affiliates. If you want to grab more information that we have available on that the default page here, you can add custom affiliate fields here. And then finally, if you’re looking to get your affiliates to opt into terms of service agreement as they join, we do have this available right here as well.

The social content is customizable as well. So the tweet that I showed you when Sam clicks that tweet button or any affiliate clicks that tweet button, you can dial that in here. I like to write the social content initially and then keep it fresh every so often. So I think if you can update it periodically, that’s a nice thing to do for your affiliates so that the folks who go to social media often and are sharing the stuff often have something that they can get out there. Same idea with Facebook. So we’ve got the contents of that the Facebook post here. So as the affiliates share this on Facebook, this can be the title of it, this will be the body that they are sharing.

Moving on to our toolbox here. So few of our key tools. We got the ability to write an affiliate newsletter, so you can compose it from within the LeadDyno. This is a recent affiliate newsletter that I sent out. So I’ll show you an example. We send it out, so our affiliates are going to receive this directly in their email inbox. This is showing them how they can share their affiliate link on Instagram. So giving them a heads up how they can plug in the affiliate link into their Instagram profile. This is the type of stuff that we’re talking about with our newsletter. So we’re giving them a heads up on things that are new and kind of helping them share so that they got stuff that they can take out there to social media and ultimately get rewarded for sharing.

We can also send out automated emails. So I’ve got some automated emails. These are nice because these are firing off from the system and these are going out based on certain events, and I don’t have to sit there and send each one, of course. They’re going out automatically from LeadDyno. So, for example, when a new affiliate signs up with us we’ve got a welcome email that will give affiliates their affiliate link as well as the link into their affiliate dashboard. So, basically, we are giving them everything that they need to get up and running.

We can also let them know how they did for the week. So the number of visitors, leads, and purchases that each got credit for. I also send affiliates emails every time they get credit for a new referral and these are all customizable. To enable it, if you want to do the same, just click the checkbox, and tweak the email as you would like. And then again these are going to go out to affiliates who are selling for you, keeping them engaged, letting them know that they’re getting credit for the sales that they’re earning affiliate commissions in real time.

Okay, so let’s move on to affiliate recruitment. So this will be our last big topic but I know a very popular one. Everyone wants to know how we can ramp up our affiliate program, get access to affiliates, and get folks to promote for us on that commission-only basis. So we’ve got a couple techniques for you, a couple resources for you to take advantage of. The first is our affiliate invitation email. This is an email that’s going to go out from LeadDyno. It’s going to reach out to your new customers as they buy from you, let them know about your affiliate program and invite them to join that program.

So it’s a nice way to get two for one or you have got a new customer. What we want to do is we want to see if we can turn that person into a new affiliate of yours at the same time. So this is a really nice way to grow your program organically. I think we’ve been really happy with the uptake. It’s been really successful for us in terms of turning our customers into affiliates, so this is something that I would encourage you to take advantage.

We also have affiliate networks and perhaps even more exciting affiliates and influencers who are already promoting products like yours and looking for products like yours. We can get you featured in front of them. To join ECA, click on the network tab in the lower left, that will get you set up with a profile on ecommerceaffiliates.com. No cost to use for LeadDyno users. So it’s free to join and we’ll even get you a featured for free as well.

So let me know if you go through the process of joining the network and setting up your profile. And I’d love to get you featured in a newsletter that’s going out to our affiliates here. So let me know when you get signed up, so I can get you out in front of our affiliates here.

This is a look at our categories. We have shown you what this looks like, what we’ve got, the feature of your product and especially your affiliate program over here on the right side. When affiliates get newsletters featuring your program, I give them a direct link to the apply button so they can I just hit that apply button, join your program and they’ll be granted access to your program right away if you got auto access on. So, again, a nice way to get to affiliates, influencers in your industry, let me know when you do sign up so that I can make sure we could feature there.

And then the final thing I’ll show you when it’s time to pay our folks. So I will actually do…I’m going to be doing some payments today being the end of the month here. So what I will do, I usually pay our affiliates through the end of the previous month so in this case to June 30th. Lauri here, I can pay with PayPal if I hit the PayPal button and I’ll TF the Paypal payment for me to her for the $605.20 that I owe her. Other options to pay, PayPal Mass. It will let me pay everyone at once. If I actually want to pay with Bitcoin I could use her coinbase integration or if I’m cutting a good old-fashioned check, I could just marker off as manually paid here as I will do for this person here, that will X them out and then bring everyone else up to the top.

Okay. So covered a lot of ground. I haven’t taken your questions. Now go ahead and type those into that go to the webinar window. Let me show you how to get additional support. Actually, I gotta clear my cache here and for some reason LeadDyno not loading there. So let me get you hooked up with our contact page. Phone, email, and live chat, we’re actually up to seven days a week now. Just boosted that in June. So every day, we will have someone in line tomorrow for the July 4th holiday as well. So you can get help in real time, live chat in the lower right on the website seen within LeadDyno itself. Phone or email info is available here as well.

Affiliate Website Builder: LeadDyno Demo

We’re looking at the affiliate website builder for one of our sister companies, so this is what our affiliates see when they are logged in to their website. Each one of them basically gets their own dashboard which contains their affiliate link, and then ways that they can share their affiliate link and also ways that they can keep up on their progress.

So this particular affiliate dashboard belongs to Sam. Sam’s a blogger in our industry, he’s got a newsletter, he’s got a social media following. Just the kind of guy we want to partner with, so this is what we give Sam, its’s kind of his home base when he’s promoting our product.

affiliate website builder

Affiliate Website Builder: Demo Transcript

So first and foremost what Sam gets is a unique referral link. You can see it’s a nice looking co-branded link between our site and his. It’s also a direct link to our website, so as Sam posts this on his blog we’re getting credit for that inbound link juice as far as Google is concerned so that’s a nice thing as well. His readers, his followers are gonna click that link and they go right to our site. They’re not bounced around anywhere through the internet as well. So Sam can share this link either by copying and pasting it and putting it on his blog, in his newsletter, in his social media channels or he can take advantage of the social media shortcuts that we have.

So for example, if he wants to do a quick post on Facebook, really easy, he just hits that Facebook button, it logs him into Facebook it tees up this post and then with an additional click Sam can share this out. His Facebook followers will see this post come through their respective Facebook feeds. As these people click through or tap through, Sam’s gonna get credit for those referrals. Same idea on Twitter, so to share on Twitter he hits the tweet button it logs him in, it tees up a tweet, it’s got his affiliate link in there and a tweet pre-written so if he’s busy, as many of our affiliates are, as many as your affiliates probably are, with a couple of clicks they can get this sharing out there and be off and running.

In my experience you’ll find upwards of 80, even 90% or more of your affiliates are gonna use this pre-populated content, so a ton of value here, cause really it’s honestly the difference between them sharing their link or not. So I’m gonna show you where to write this content when we get to the affiliate manager side of things in a few minutes here. Also, Sam is able to see his progress as people click through his link he can see that in real time, so for example, he can see he’s gotten credit for 1,674 unique referrals that he sent our way via his link. Out of these 22 of these people have opted in on our website which means we also have email addresses for them. Eleven of these people have purchased thanks to Sam’s referrals and then he’s got some commissions due down here. So we can see he’s currently due $49.80. He’s been paid out, he’s done really well being a part of our affiliate program made over $1,400 already.

These commissions are coming from the sale, we’re paying a percentage of our sale. In your case, most likely that’s what you’re going to want to do. The percentage is up to you. If you need a hand in terms of choosing that for your industry, let me know. I can show you what others in your industry are using and what’s success within our own affiliate network and then we also do support a variety of nuances within those commission plans so if you need recurring commission that you’re looking to pay off for a subscription product we can support that. We can also support things like for product commissions, we do that for Shopify and big commerce folks, we can support multi-level plans so let us know what you’re thinking and we’re happy to help you out there.

Couple more things on the dashboard, so we’ve got a marketing material section where Sam has things he can post to his blog, also I got like an infographic here which has his affiliate link as well as the creatives, all he needs to do is copy this HTML, post it to his blog and he’ll get credit for anyone who clicks through here. Same idea with these banners, so we’ve got our HTML here. We’ve got our affiliate link already embedded in here. So Sam can choose any style of banner, shapes and sizes that he wants and then he’ll get credit for anyone who clicks through here and ends up onto our website.

And then I also have an archive of affiliate newsletters here, so he’s gonna receive these directly in his email inbox and then he’s also going to get them in archive available online. Here’s a recent one I sent out talking about our mobile app, letting our affiliates know that they can get our affiliate website builder directly on their phones. All they need to do is download the affiliate dashboard app, which is a nice segue because your affiliates have access to the exact same thing. So we’ve got an affiliate dashboard app which lets them get your dashboard directly onto their phones as well, so they just download the affiliate dashboard app by LeadDyno, available in Google Play or iOS stores and then plug in their email address. We’ll match them up with your own affiliate program and they’ll get access to it from their phones as well. So they can do all of the social sharing that I just showed you, from the convenience of their phones so this is a really nice benefit as well so I encourage you to take advantage of this here.

All right. Let’s get into the setup here, so I will bounce into LeadDyno itself. We’re gonna start with our content section which is about halfway down on the left-hand side if you’re logged into LeadDyno. This is where you can customize the affiliate website builder, so basically everything that I just showed you, where you can make it mobile friendly, you can select your color scheme, get your logo in there, you can even put the entire dashboard on your own domain if you would like to do that. Everything throughout, from the header to the introduction, to the instructions themselves, these are all customizable also. So you can type whatever text you’d like, or you can even insert images, you can pop links in there, you can get to the HTML directly.

We do support custom CSS so if you want to further style the page you can do that. And then always adding new features based on requests from you. This was a popular one in terms of service for affiliates so if you would like your affiliates to opt in to a terms of service agreement you now have the ability to do that so you can upload your terms of service here and then they’re gonna get a little opt in as they join your program.

Also in the content section are Facebook post, so the affiliates share on Facebook is located here so we’ve got the title of our post, we’ve got the body of the post here, so this is what is basically being sent up to Facebook when we click the share button. Same idea, I’ve got a tweet here, 140 characters to work with so here’s my hashtag, twitter handles, all this good stuff. But basically what I’m doing is I’m writing the tweet, our Facebook post our affiliates can just hit that share and go, so I think it’s a big, big benefit to your affiliates if you do this initially for them, and then maybe update these every so often, and I like to kind of update this as I send out my affiliate newsletter which I’m actually gonna show you now as we get into our toolbox here, so moving down one tic here on the left-hand side moving down to our tools menu is our affiliate newsletter.

So as I mentioned before I send these out I like to do is update the social content because as you’ll see affiliates are gonna get something that looks like this in their email inbox, they’ll get excited, they’ll want to share about this. So when for example we want Instagram support I want our affiliates to be able to go out and talk about that on their own affiliate dashboards also so this is a way that they can. So with the newsletters you can stay in touch with them, kind of keep them engaged, keep them motivated, kind of give them the inside scoop on things.

Automated emails, so we’ve got newsletters that can go out from you and these are automated so these are gonna based on certain events so for example when a new affiliate signs up with you, we can send them this welcome email which contains their affiliate link as well as the link to their affiliate dashboard, so everything they need to do to get up and running. To show you a nice little, maybe out of the box but an effective way that you could maybe use to use your leverage for your affiliates, I’ve got the ability, I offer promos from time to time for our affiliates who will take the time to leave us reviews as well, so that’s a nice thing to do if you want to kind of incentivize affiliates who most likely used your product, big fans of yours so they can kind of help you out in this respect here.

On the automated side we also have weekly updates so you can let affiliates know how they did for the week so number of visitors, number of leads, number of purchases that they each got credit for or every time they got credit for a new lead or a new purchase you can also send them an email that looks something like this.

All right. Our last big topic here is going to be our affiliate network, so let’s talk affiliate recruitment. So if we’re looking to get exposure to affiliates and influencers and get folks into our programs as easily possible, our affiliate network is a nice way to do it. So click the network tab in the lower left that will walk you through the profile set up process. What you’re gonna end up with is a nice looking profile that looks like this where we’ve got your product featured, we have your affiliate programs featured and then we’re going to write newsletters that look like these, this one actually went out today featuring our nine hottest affiliate programs for the month of June.

We sent this one out yesterday talking about three new clothing products and their affiliate programs also so we’re sending our these newsletters all of the time so affiliates who get it come back here and they can apply to join your program with one single click and then if you got auto access on they’ll get immediate access to your affiliate program. So real nice way to ramp up that affiliate base with folks who are already writing about ways to promote products in your industry, why not let them feature you and then you’re able them to incentivize them using our affiliate program here. You can also turn your customers into affiliates also, so if you’re looking to grow your program organically our affiliate invitation email is a nice way to do that. Reach out to folks as they buy from you, let them know about your affiliate program, tell them about it, invite them to join, and it’s a nice way to join their program organically, get those customers turned into affiliates.

And then final step, as folks are selling for your we’re gonna reward them with our affiliate payments, so this is our affiliate payment screen at the end of the month here which actually is the last day of June. I’m going to hit the PayPal button that will tee up a PayPal payment from me out to Lori here for the $319.90 that I owe her. I can pay a bunch of people at once by using PayPal mass pay, so I could literally pay all of my affiliates at once if I wanted to. I could cut a check alternatively and just mark someone up as being manually paid. Dwolla or Coinbase are other options as well in terms of sending money around electronically.

All right a lot of ground especially for a Friday afternoon here, let me show you how to get additional support. If you have questions now please go ahead and type those in so the rest of the time is yours if you’d like it. You can connect with us on live chat, email and phone. We’re actually up to seven days a week so we’ll have somebody on tomorrow, we’ll have somebody on the 4th of July, so seven days a week including holidays, we are at right now. Phone, email, live chat, also social media info here. If you have questions for me about this webinar, follow up questions Brett@LeadDyno.com. I’m sure you’ve got emails from me in your inbox at some point those will go back to me and we can circle back and answer any questions that you’ve got.

Otherwise, I thank you for joining, I hope it was helpful today. I hope everyone has a great weekend and a great Fourth of July. Question coming in LeadDyno is an affiliate program manager so LeadDyno so basically everything you saw here is running through LeadDyno on the demo. So yes, that’s correct. If you’re looking for an actual human to manage your affiliate program for you, we do have some partners also that we can introduce you to if you’re looking for someone to actually pull all of these switches that I showed you here today. So if you would like that intro let me know. Otherwise everything you saw today that’s going through LeadDyno itself.

Affiliate Newsletter & Website Demo with LeadDyno

Writing an effective affiliate newsletter is easy – here’s how you can launch an effective affiliate program and keep your partners engaged using LeadDyno.

Affiliate Newsletter & Website Demo Transcript

This affiliate website is powered by LeadDyno. I’ve got this page customized so that I’ve got our logo in here, our colors, look and feel. Potential affiliates visit this page. This is where they’re can opt in, this is where they can join our program. And I’d give them auto access, which means I approve everyone and I give them immediate access to their affiliate dashboard so we can keep that momentum going so they can keep sharing from there. So this is our affiliate dashboard. This contains everything that each affiliate needs to promote our site and our product. So first thing we’ve got here is a unique referral link. So this is that classic affiliate link which we can copy and past and put anywhere. So this is the affiliate dashboard for Sam, he’s one of our partners, blogger in our industry. So Sam can copy and paste this link, he can put it on his own website, he can put it on his blog, he can put it on his social media channels. Sam will get credit for anyone who clicks through this link and ends up on our site.

So this actually dovetails to our first question. So in terms of customizing these links…so this is how basically Sam can customize his link. So as you can see, he’s got a vanity link here. This is going to pull from his affiliate code. We’ve got a setting where you can let affiliates change their own codes. So if you would like to enable that, you can do that and they can create their own vanity links. Or you can do that for them on the LeadDyno site. One alternative to this, also we do have link shorteners also. So if you want an even shorter link, kind of like a Bitly style, we have our own link shortener that you could alternatively enable as that affiliate link. So we’ve got a couple options there for you.

These links, as I mentioned, can be copied and pasted into social media. We also have some social media shortcuts. So to make life even easier for Sam, he can copy and paste this simply by clicking that Facebook button. Just one click is gonna log him into Facebook. It will tee up a Facebook post when Facebook eventually loads. This is a post I’ve got preloaded for him so he can just kind of click and go whether he’s from his computer. He can do the same thing on his phone. So instead of having to create a template from scratch, making things, again, really simple, really fast for our affiliates. With an initial click, he can post it out to his Facebook feed. His friends and followers will see this come through their respective Facebook feeds. And then as these folks click through, tap through, Sam will get credit for these shares.

Same idea on Twitter. So I’ve got a tweet here which he can then share on Twitter. Same goes for all our affiliates. So I’ve got it preloaded for them. So with an additional click, they can tweet this out. Our Twitter followers are then gonna see this come through their tweet streams and then again, as they click through, the affiliate who shared it will get credit for that share. We’ve got their progress underneath that social bar here. This is updating in real time. So again, in our affiliate’s case here, you can see he’s gotten a credit for sending us 1673 unique visitors. Out of these, 22 of these have opted in. Nine of these people have purchased our product. Thanks to these purchases, we’ve got some commissions owed here where we’ve got a certain percentage of the sale. And this is what we are assigning to our affiliates, in terms of commissions.

In your case, I would say a percentage commission on a purchase is going to be the most common thing that we’re gonna see. So that’s what I would maybe recommend starting with. If you need any guidance with setting up that percentage, let us know. In terms of what LeadDyno will support, we have a variety of commission plans. So you can nuance them to many degrees, if you would like. So we’ve got multi-level support available, per-product support is available for Shopify and BigCommerce folks. We can do recurring commissions for subscription products. So let us know what you’re thinking. Happy to help you set that up there as well.

All right. A couple more things on the dashboard and then we’ll get into the affiliate manager side of things. This is our marketing materials tab. This contains kind of things like infographic banner ads where we can…affiliates can get the HTML here. And then it has their affiliate link embedded so they’ll get credit for anyone who clicks through this banner and ends up on our website. So we’ve got all various shapes and sizes going on here.

Finally, I have an archive of affiliate newsletters. So when I send out an affiliate newsletter, this is going to go to each affiliate. It’s gonna land in their email inbox. They also get an archive here online. I’ll walk you through the creation of these newsletters and some best practices, again, when we get to the second half, which we’re about to dive into. From the affiliate standpoint, just know that when you send out a newsletter, they’re going to get it in their email inbox, so it’s a nice way to kind of engage with them. And then they do have access to these newsletters online here as well, going forward.

All right. Let’s get into LeadDyno itself, if I can figure out what tab I’ve got here. So this is going to be where we’ll set up the affiliate dashboard that I showed you in terms of the look and feel of it. So I’m going into the content section, which is about halfway down here on the left side. This is where we can choose which version of the dashboard that we want to go with. Whether it’s the mobile-friendly version, which I’m sure we probably want to go with. Get your color scheme going, get your logo in here. We’ve got some custom settings, which you can play around with. You can put the affiliate dashboard on your own domain if you would like, we do now have custom domain support.

Everything throughout the header, customizable as well. The introduction, also. So you can update the text down here. You can insert images and links, as well. So you can do more than just text. You can get to the HTML directly. If you want to style it, we’ve got custom CSS support, so you can even further style that if you would like. And if you want your affiliates to opt into a terms of service agreement, we do support that now as well. So this was a popular request, so this rolled out a few weeks ago. So terms of service available if you want to toss this in or toss in your own terms of service agreement and then have your affiliates okay this as they get into it.

The content section also has the specs for that Facebook post that I showed you earlier, the tweet that I showed you earlier. So if you’re wondering where that came from when I did the share on Facebook, this is populated from our content section and then our Facebook post. So again, a nice way to get our affiliates off to a head start where this is what they’re gonna share when they click those buttons. So we’re going to give these…we can kind of give the title of the post, give the content of it, give the URL that folks are clicking through, too. So we’re getting them off to a nice head start so they don’t have to sit there, thinking something from scratch. I know it’s pretty easy to write a tweet but I, in my experience, I find most affiliates like to kind of just click and go. And they will actually use your default content much more often than not. So you can really help them out here by getting them off to a nice head start.

Over to our tools menu. So I showed you the newsletter in the dashboard. So again, it’s gonna land in the inbox of the affiliates. You can write it from LeadDyno itself. In terms of tips and tricks for writing effective newsletters, I mean we want things that are gonna get our affiliate’s attention. So I always like to…one trick is to time it with the affiliate payments. That’s a nice way to let them know payments are going out the door, folks are getting paid. That inspires them to get back to their affiliate dashboard, check what they themselves might be getting paid. So that’s a nice way to, again, get them into that dashboard where they can do all that sharing from there. Also, if you have new products, new features, things that we’re gonna share with our own customers, I may give our affiliates the inside scoop on things to let them know, so that they can go out to social media, they can do their sharing. They’ve got kind of a unique thing that they’re taking out there and then on our end, we’re getting boosts from our affiliates, essentially a free PR team doing some work for us, in that respect as well.

We also have some automated emails. So these are going to fire off based on certain events. So for example, when a new affiliate signs up with us, we can send them a welcome email that looks something like this, which is gonna contain their affiliate link as well as the link to their affiliate dashboard. So everything they need to get up and running. In this case, I’m also doing a little review promo. So I’m letting them know that, hey, if you want to earn some quick money, just leave us a few reviews. I’ve found this to be an effective technique as well. So those of you who are looking for help on reviews, this is a nice way to get it organically from your base, also. So another kind of idea for you.

Also, on the automated email side, we can also send weekly updates. We can let the affiliates know every time they get credit for a new purchase. So again, just ways that we are engaging with them. These emails go out automatically from the system. So it’s nice, I don’t have to sit there, send these emails one at a time. These will just go out to folks and then, kind of, LeadDyno’s doing the engagement, kind of doing all that stuff, all of the heavy lifting there for me.

Okay, in terms of affiliate recruitment. So this will be our last big topic here. I know of popular ones because…on everyone’s mind, how do we get affiliates into our program? So I’ve got a few angles to share with you here. An affiliate invitation email is gonna go out to our new customers as they buy from this and then invite them to join our affiliate program. So this is a nice way to get us two for one. Or if you’ve got a new customer and what we’re looking to do is get a new affiliate here at the same time. In my experience, a nice way to grow your program organically. Been really successful for us, really successful for many of our customers. So I would to encourage you to consider this. And it is easy to set up, not much that you need to do other than go ahead and enable the email. And then this is gonna fire off from the system on your behalf. So it’s gonna reach out to folks and then invite them to join your affiliate program.

We also have an affiliate network. So this is probably especially exciting for those of you looking for affiliates and influencers in your product category. This is ecommerceaffiliates.com. So it’s our own network that is going to connect you up, again, with influencers who are interested in promoting product like yours on social media. This will take you through the setup process. In the network yourself, we let you reach out to prospective affiliates if you would like. So you can reach out directly to them, you’ll get access to affiliates here. You don’t have to necessarily if you don’t want to because we will do all of the legwork for you, where we’ve got a listing of our affiliate directory, where we’re gonna get you set up here with a profile featuring your product and especially featuring your affiliate program.

We do newsletters that go out to our affiliates. So let me actually go out to…let me see if I can get out to our Facebook page. We just posted a newsletter out earlier this morning. So that went out yesterday, so to kind of give you an idea of who these are going out to. So letting people know that hey, these are the types of products we got in our affiliate program. These are going out as emails to our affiliates and also through our social media channels as well. And then folks, if you’re featured in here, then folks can join with a single click and then they’ll get access to your program. So a nice way to get exposure to folks you may not otherwise currently have access to. And again, it’s a free benefit of joining LeadDyno. All you do is hit the network tab and this will get you logged in here and get you up and running.

And then the final thing that I’ve got for you, of course, is going to be payouts. So let me show you how to pay affiliates. When it’s time to pay affiliates, we’re going to just kind of hit the pay button. It’s pretty easy to do. We support Paypal. We support Paypal mass pay, so if you want to pay everyone at once, you can do that using Paypal mass pay. Individually, we’ve got Paypal buttons over on the right side. Coin Base, even. If you want to send Bitcoin out to people, we have an integration there. If you’re cutting a check, you can just mark somebody off as manually paid. And then you can pay for any time period that you want here as well. And I should mention that everything that you saw from the affiliate’s standpoint, and I’ll close with this, is available via our mobile app. So affiliates can get this app on their phone. They put in their email address, we’ll recognize they’re an affiliate of yours and then we connect them up with your program. So it’s a real nice way for you to connect up with your…get your affiliate program onto their phones here, as well.

All right, so I’m happy to get into questions now. So I’ve got a couple in here, so I’ll get to those. Let me show you how to get additional support as well. Phone, email, live chat available six. And actually, we’ve boosted it up to seven for the summer, so likely to stay at seven. Live chat in the lower right is a convenient way to get a hold of us within LeadDyno itself, which actually dovetails into our first question. Is support extra in terms of cost? And no, support’s included, so free support. It’s unlimited, so encourage you to take advantage of it. So again, phone, email, live chat, and available most of the day. We cover European hours, we cover U.S. hours, we cover Australian hours, so we’re good. We’re covering about 20 hours out of the day. So I would encourage you to take advantage of this. And again, available every day.

If you have questions for me, any of the emails you’ve got about this webinar will go back to me. My email address, brett@leaddyno.com, if you want to circle back with me on anything specific that you saw. Otherwise, I thank you for joining. Hoped it was helpful today. Stay in touch. Let us know how we can help with your affiliate program. And also, if you signed up for our network, let me know so I can make sure that we get you featured in one of those newsletters that I showed you going out to our affiliates. So let me know when you sign up and if you need help with your feature, we can help with that as well. Make it look as appealing as we can to the affiliates in our network. So everyone have a great rest of your Wednesday, great rest of your week. And again, if you think of anything, let me know.

I do have one more question coming in here. So can we…sorry, I’m gonna read this one. Can we customize specific products instead of an entire website? I assume what you mean is in terms of commissions. So yes, for Shopify and for BigCommerce accounts, we can do per product commission. So you can offer different commissions for different products. You can even link specifically to products. You can link to specific pages, so you can do that using our sub IDs. Let me actually show you. I might have an example there where I’m an affiliate. I’ve got my sub IDs here, so I have different links that are available here.

So an affiliate could create a link that goes to any product on your site and then create those links that go specifically there. And then again, for Shopify and BigCommerce, you can change up and have per product as well. Okay and then, someone’s question I may have missed in the beginning, separate way to have separate commissions based on each product? Yeah. So per product commissions available for Shopify and BigCommerce. Let’s see. Does the payment link work with a bank account number? No. That will not work with a bank account or automatic monthly payments. You’re gonna have to come in and still hit the pay button.

Videos that walk through the progress. We do. We have…let me send you our support page. So this is how you can kind of get through sort of that initial set up. I’ll send you this link here out to everyone. While I’m here, let me send you the per product commission link. Okay. Let’s see, what else? Does it work without a Shopify storefront? So it does. It is not compatible with Shopify buy button though. There is…unfortunately you won’t find a program that is because the buy button is kind of its own thing. But it’s compatible without Shopify, though. You can have a different store front. We have about 20 integrations, Shopify being one of them. So we work with WordPress, we do work with others, as well.

affiliate newsletter: Website Demo with LeadDynoAnd then to answer your question on the mass payout option for commissions, yeah. That would be Paypal mass pay. So what you would do is just enable…contact Paypal, have them enable mass pay for your account. You can then pay all your affiliates at once using mass pay. How do we set up vanity links or short links? So what I showed you on the dashboard is this vanity link here. So if you let affiliates change their code, they could then set that up. I could set up a vanity code for an affiliate. So if I go to an affiliate–and I’m going to this person and then I’m going to edit it–I can change their affiliate code, the affiliate code is right here. So if I change that, that is going to set up a vanity code for them. For link shorteners, that is going to be under affiliate settings and then shorten affiliate link. So you go to edit settings and then this is going to be for link shorteners here.

Best practices on setting up commissions in terms of how to structure. Yeah, I can advise on a specific industry if you have a question. What I would encourage you to do is look at our affiliate network. And then this is also sorted by…ranked by affiliate programs, with the top affiliate programs at the top. So that will let you know, in a given industry, what types of setups are the most compelling. In general, percentage on a purchase can be a good way to go. I always tell people go with whatever percentage you would be comfortable paying somebody on an advertising sense. So if you’re spending money with Google Adwords, if you’re spending money with Facebook, you could then maybe just spend that money with an affiliate. That’s what we do. So we’ve got a certain percentage that we’re comfortable with, 30% in our case. If I spent that at Adwords, I would be happy. We give that to our affiliates. But again, if you have questions on your specific products or industry, let me know.

And then do we send folks a code when they sign up? So yeah. They will get the welcome email, which is back here. So when affiliates sign up, they will get a welcome email, which contains their affiliate link as well as the link to their dashboard. So everything that they need. If you want to do an affiliate code, you could put that in here as well. So that’s just gonna be this guy here.

Okay, so it looks like we are through the questions. So let us know if there is anything else. I will leave you with our support info, wherever that is. See if I can get back to that. I’ll leave you with our contact page. So again, let us know if you have questions. Thanks for all of your questions. One more question on the code. Can I set up a discount? You can. You’re going to set up the discount though in your shopping cart. So if you’re on Shopify, if you’re on BigCommerce or wherever you are, you will set up a discount on that end. We’ll pull in the discount if it’s you. So if it’s Shopify or BigCommerce, we’ll pull in the discount. We’ll pull in the code. We’re not going to apply the discount, though, because we don’t…all we do is collect information from the shopping cart. We don’t send any information to it. So if you want to set up a discount, we can match it up, but that’s going to be on the shopping cart.

Okay, so again, thanks for joining. And then, what do I mean by pull it in? So I mean if somebody uses Sam’s code…so let me go back to Sam…Sam’s code is lawyerist. So if somebody uses a discount code, lawyerist, we’ll match it up and we’ll say this person…and we’ll know this person came from Sam. So we’re able to match it up, even if the link here was not used. So that’s how we’ll get the discount code and then we can match it up, potentially, with an affiliate code if you’re looking to do things like that. All right, so it looks like we are now good. So I will now let everyone go and have a great rest of your Wednesday. Thanks for all the questions and a great rest of your week. And again, any follow-up, let me know.

How to use affiliate tracking software

With the advent of information technology, several business owners have turned to the internet to sell their products and services. With several benefits like access to information, ability to compare and the convenience of shopping from home, internet shopping has become one of the most popular shopping methods.

Many businesses use affiliate marketing to attract customer traffic to their websites. Affiliate marketing deals with putting links which lead back to your site, on other sites that belong to affiliates. Most businesses features several affiliates and need to track how much sales revenue each of them helps to generate. This is accomplished using affiliate tracking software.

The affiliate tracking software allows tracking several things like sales, leads and clicks generated by various affiliates. It can also assist in running several marketing programs like Cost per Sale, Cost per Action and Cost per Click.

What is Affiliate Tracking

Affiliate tracking allows users to create links and codes that will be used for tracking purposes. An affiliate tracking software then tracks these links and codes. Amongst various tasks, this software can accomplish the following;

  • Tracking the leads that led to purchases
  • Providing various statistics like:
    • Sales made through a certain lead.
    • Visitors generated by a certain lead.
  • Perform accounting procedures like calculating:
    • Sales made through affiliates.
    • Sales made by each affiliate.
    • Commission due for each affiliate.

This way, you will know exactly how much sales an affiliate is generating for your company and will help you plan accordingly.

Benefits of Affiliate Tracking Software

There are various advantages of using this software for affiliate marketing. Here are a few of them:

  • No more accounting hassles. The software can be used to not only calculate the commissions, but also pay your affiliates automatically.
  • No more data collection required. The software can collect data and allow you to slice and dice it, according to your preference.
  • No more hassle of getting links to the affiliate websites. The software can generate online ads with links embedded in them.

LeadDyno provides several state of the art affiliate tracking solutions. Their innovative Affiliate Dashboard contains everything you will need to promote your product. You can use it to view your affiliates’ activities and how much revenue each one is generating. It even provides you with data regarding how much sales you have generated using the advertisements placed on various famous sites like Google, Facebook, Twitter, etc.

Essential Features to look for in Affiliate Tracking Software

It pays to have a list of standards and features on your mind when it comes to evaluating affiliate tracking software. Firstly, there are some basic features that every software is expected to have. Then, there are advanced features that allow you to manage your affiliates in a more organized and dynamic fashion. You will want to look for some features that allow you to draw maximum benefits from your affiliates.

Let us look at some features that you will want to have in your affiliate tracking software.

Affiliate Sign up Forms

The software should have the ability to generate affiliate sign up forms. These forms should be able to collect information regarding the affiliate, create affiliate accounts and assign them a commission plan. The software should carry out all of the sign up process automatically and then generate emails with guides on getting started to the new affiliates.

Affiliate Management Center

The software should feature an affiliate management center, which allows affiliates to log on and view relevant data including:

  • Their recent activity, i.e. their payment history, the sales and clicks they generated, etc.
  • Their commission structure, including the amount that is due to them by the business.

They should also be able to download promotional tools that they can place on their websites. It is important that the interface is user friendly to ensure maximum effectiveness.

Flexible Commission

The software must allow you to customize and define various commission plans. You will not want to pay all your affiliates the same rate of commission, even for the same product. With a flexible commission facility, you can design your commission plan as per your requirements.

Customized Landing Page

You should have the ability to set which affiliate will lead to which page. The landing page can make a lot of difference when it comes to converting visitors into customers. You can test out which pages work best for which affiliates over time and then set those pages accordingly.

Promotional Tools for Affiliates

The software should give you the ability to add promotional tools that will be used by your affiliates. This allows the affiliates to use the tools you have defined for your promotion. The software should allow the tool selected by affiliate to be customized, i.e. the name, affiliate links, landing page, etc. should be allocated accordingly.
